- Hewitt is an academy product of the Huddersfield Giants and moves into his third season with the first team.
- He made his debut in 2018 against rivals Leeds Rhinos.
- Amongst his skills is versatility as he has appeared in both the back-row and at centre for the Giants.
- Hewitt was a member of the team that got the all important win at Hull FC to help secure Super League status.
- He made 13 appearances for the Giants and 6 appearances for Workington during the 2019 season.
