Passionate Claret and Gold supporter needs help from fellow Giants fans
Tom Walshaw must be one of the Huddersfield Giants biggest supporters. Raised in Huddersfield, but now living in California, Tom never misses tuning in for a Claret and Gold game.
In fact he is so passionate about the Giants, his wedding colours were claret and gold and the reception was held at the John Smith’s Stadium!
However, last July, Tom was diagnosed with leukaemia. He started his treatment for a bone marrow transplant one day prior to the Giants win over Hull FC on Saturday – the first game he has missed in years!
There is a UK appeal to fund Tom’s medical care that is not covered by insurance and the Giants are urging fellow claret and gold supporters to donate in aid of Tom and his illness.
For further information on Tom and his treatment please visit: http://leukemialog.blogspot.co.uk/.
You can also follow his fund on Twitter: @TomwMedicalfund and you can join the Facebook group by searching: The Tom Walshaw Medical Group.
Thanks for your support.
