THE NUMBERS GAME: GIANTS VS HULL KR

All the key stats that you need to know ahead of our massive clash at Hull KR on Friday evening.

A massive game is on the horizon this weekend for the Giants, as we travel to East Yorkshire to face Hull KR. The two sides currently both sit on 16 points in the Betfred Super League, just two points above the bottom placed London Broncos. The Robins sit in 11th place, whilst we are 9th.

Garbutt needs to be halted

Mitch Garbutt was an off-season recruit this season for the Robins, joining from the Leeds Rhinos. The forward has featured in 15 of Rovers’ 22 Betfred Super League games this campaign, scoring four tries.

Garbutt has made 2142 metres so far this season, making an impressive 192 metres last week alone against his former side Leeds. His average gain is usually 8.05 metres, but the prop averaged 9.10 metres per carry last Friday. He has carried the ball 266 tackles so far this season.

Garbutt has made 400 tackles in 2019 too, as well as making 59 marker tackles.

Giants defence will have to be strong

After an impressive 32-16 over the Leeds Rhinos last weekend, the Robins will have some momentum behind them. Their win over the Rhinos saw them move level on points with both ourselves and Leeds last weekend. Some big efforts from the Rovers players saw them win the game after a great performance.
