GIANTS TAKE THE TWO IN TOULOUSE AND WIN FOUR IN A ROW

It was a very professional victory for the Giants over in hot conditions at the Stade Ernest Wallon as they beat Toulouse!
The Giants opened the scoring after some brilliant sustained pressure early on. Halsall was on the end of a neat shift out on the left edge to open the scoring on 8 minutes.
It took just four minutes for the hosts to strike back after Lacans broke through, and played off to Hands to go over under the sticks and level the scoring.
The Giants went back in front as Halsall doubled his tally for the night with a carbon copy of his first. Out wide and he dived in at the corner.
The Green Machine, Joe Greenwood notched the Giants further in front, after a popped pass found him just short of the line and he barged his way over!
Wrench added another just before the half time interval after a Gagai break and offload to Lolohea. The Giants #6 passed it away to Wrench and he nudged over!
Half time in Toulouse, 22-6 in favour of the Giants!
Tristan Powell saw the yellow card brandished 7 minutes after the restart for a professional foul on Chan, and the Giants had to defend with 12 for 10 minutes.
The first 20 minutes of the second half left a lot to be desired from a neutral point of view, but from the Giants, they defended their line very, very well and looked threatening even when down to 12.
The Giants were down to 12 again with 16 to play. Taane Milne tugged the collar of a Toulouse player as Laguerre tried to break and saw the yellow card.
The first points of the second half came from a George Flanagan Penalty goal after Clune was taken late.
Jussaume got a consolation for TO before Flanagan added another penalty goal just before the end of the contest
