OUR NEW STAGE'S TRANSFORMATION UNDERWAY

The first update from the developments at our new stage.

After our giant announcement that the Huddersfield Giants will embark on a new stage at The Flair Stadium, Dewsbury, the promised developments on the site have begun. The team at Marshall Construction have started their work on the site in fine style, already making quick progress as we look to provide the best experience for supporters.

The seating in the main stand has been removed, with replacements to follow for a fresher look and a more comfortable viewing experience. Removals in the hospitality areas followed, to allow for brand new, modern facilities to house the Giants faithful. Finally, the bottom of The Mike Stevenson Stand has begun it’s transformation, which will allow for the playing surface to be expanded.

Huddersfield Giants Managing Director Richard Thewlis said:

"The race to be ready for the end of January has begun now in earnest and we have a superb main contractor in Marshalls running the entire process for us. The development will, as we have already stated, be in two distinct stages with the immediate aim to significantly upgrade the two side-on viewing areas – namely the Main stand and Stephenson Terrace - alongside all the Sky and Media facilities expected by the Super League. We will then proceed with development at the 'open end' ".

We will continue to provide regular updates on the progress of our new stage’s transformation to all supporters as we look forward to One Giant Future.
