JAGGER COMMITS FUTURE TO THE GIANTS

Promising winger Lewis Jagger has committed his future to the Huddersfield Giants by extending his contract until 2029.

The young winger, who has enjoyed a breakthrough 2026 campaign, enjoying 11 appearances and four tries, including stunning efforts vs Hull FC and Castleford, has penned a new deal at the club where he came through to keep him a Huddersfield Giant for the upcoming seasons.

Being handed his debut in the final game of 2025, Jagger crossed vs Leigh and then has gone from strength to strength, making his name in the Super League competition as a reliable, fast winger or centre who can pop up with a try when needed.

Lewis Jagger discussed the new deal at the Giants.

"It was an easy move for me, what we're building at the Giants since Jim has joined, I like the confidence that Jim has given to us all and myself especially.

"At my age, it's about taking the opportunity and put my best foot forward, it's given me the experience to kick on and enjoy the upcoming seasons in the Claret and Gold.

"There's no question that the setup and pathway system at the Giants is really good, i'm happy to be a part of it and continue my journey here.

"I'd like to say a huge thank you to the supporters, they've been really good to me in my first proper season in the first team, and are a big part of my staying at this club."

Director of Rugby Andy Kelly said that he's delighted to keep Jagger, a kid of 'high ability'.

"Jags is a kid of high ability and high capability, he's had to step in the side quite premature and he's more than adequately equipped himself to the side, playing wing and centre, everyone at the club is excited to see him develop, a lad that has come through the academy system, it's exciting to have him with us."
