UPDATED FAQ'S - THE FLAIR STADIUM & OTHER TOPICS

We have had numerous questions put to us, raised at the recent HGSA meeting with Ralph Rimmer, we have endeavoured to answer the questions in this article.

Below are the questions that was put to us.

1. Is the search for a future stadium site in Huddersfield still a top priority?
2. Is the club hoping for new talks with Kirklees Council over any prospective sites?
3. If the club are spending a reported £10m at Dewsbury to enhance the experience, how difficult would it be to leave and return to Huddersfield?
4. What facilities will be available at Dewsbury for fans at the first Super League game of the 2027 season and will every seat/standing area have clear unobstructed views?
5. Can you confirm the capacity of each of the stands at Dewsbury and what facilities(eg bars/toilets) each offers?
6. What arrangements are being considered to transport fans between Huddersfield and Dewsbury given the very indifferent public transport system?
7. Will Academy/Scholars/Womens games be played at Dewsbury or Laund Hill?
8. Many fear the club's identity has been lost over the years so can we be certain it will be Huddersfield Giants and neither Giants, Kirklees Giants nor Dewsbury Giants in years to come?
9. Many feel there is a disconnect between the club and fans: what can be done by any of us to bring back that One Club one Family feeling?

Here are our answers, both questions 1 and 2 have been grouped into the first reply.

1. Stadium Search is always live, Ken recently met with local councillors to discuss future options
2. We would be prepared to leave for a better option, but it was crucial to us that we provided a top-class Super League facility for supporters and players while at Dewsbury
3. Our aim is a top-class experience for all: fans players, and commercial partners alike. With that in mind we are working around the clock to develop the facility to high standard.
4. We are currently configurating the stands, there will be a mix of standing and seating provided and the capacity will be circa 8,000 with the new stand, each stand will offer different experiences and will be upgraded from the current offering.
5. We’re currently in talks with Arriva surrounding a free bus service for our first year in occupation.
6. There will be select double headers at Dewsbury to showcase the teams to our supporters, but the large majority of the games will be played at Laund Hill.
7. We certainly don’t envisage a move away from the name of the Huddersfield Giants.
8. We’ve made a big effort in the past few years to increase the engagement with supporters by attending forums, increasing our social media, web and email output to give supporters behind the scenes access of the club, which many other super league clubs do not offer.
