CLUB STATEMENT: IAN VAN BELLEN

Huddersfield Giants are saddened to hear of the passing of one of our greats.
Huddersfield Giants are saddened to hear the news of the
passing of one of their former players, Ian Van Bellen, earlier this week. Van Bellen
started his successful playing career at the Claret and Gold, playing for
Huddersfield between the late 1960s and early 1970s before spells with
Castleford, Bradford Northern, Fulham, Halifax, Kent Invicta and Keighley.
Huddersfield Giants players and coaching staff will be wearing black armbands for their Super League fixture against Leeds Rhinos on Friday August 2nd in memory of Van Bellen and the thoughts of the entire club staff are with Ian’s Family at the difficult time.
