Giants win competitive midweek battle

Huddersfield 32 (Tries; Golding, McGillvary 2, Cudjoe, McQueen, Wardle. Goals; Sezer, Russell 3)

Hull KR 22 (Tries; Parcell 3, Tate. Goals; Ellis 3)

(HT18-0)

Luke Robinson registered his third win as Interim Head Coach of Huddersfield Giants, as they beat Hull KR 32-22.

Scores for Ashton Golding and a double from Jermaine McGillvary saw the Giants take an 14-0 lead into the break before a dominant attacking display in the opening 40 was capped with a try for Leroy Cudjoe, his first since returning from injury.

The visitors were bright in the second half, and Matt Parcell got the Rovers back in it, but the Giants remained ahead all night thanks to tries in the second half from Chris McQueen and Jake Wardle. The Robins saw themselves down a man late on, as Parcell saw ten minutes for a professional foul on Ashton Golding.

Rovers crossed over late on, with Will Tate crossing over for the Robins, but the Giants brought home the victory to move to a 53.85% win ratio, remaining in sixth but continuing their fine-form, they face Salford Red Devils next.
