Gameday Guide: Castleford Tigers

Huddersfield Giants are looking to get back to winning ways with the visit of Castleford Tigers on Saturday 12th March at 3:15pm. Huddersfield are looking to make it four wins from five, after beating Salford Red Devils 34-2 last time out. It's also an historic day for Huddersfield Giants as Huddersfield Giants Women play their first game at the John Smith's Stadium, hosting Leeds Rhinos in the Betfred Women's Challenge Cup.

When is the game?

Huddersfield Giants kick off at 3:15pm at the John Smith's Stadium this Saturday 12th March. Turnstiles will open at 2:15pm on gameday. Huddersfield Giants Women play Leeds Rhinos Women at 12:00pm at the Stadium, with the Core Stand Lower Tier with turnstiles opening at 11:30am.

What's on at the game and when?

There are loads of activities available at the game for you to enjoy. The centrepiece of the Giants offering to home and away supporters will be the Deliveree Food Festival, opening from midday on gameday featuring a number of food outlets and two bars for supporters to sample a number of Huddersfield's local vendors in a party atmosphere for a vibrant tailgate feel. Murphy James will be performing around the stadium, alongside DJ from the Hart, who'll be spinning all your favourite tracks from inside the Food Festival.

Huddersfield Giants Community Trust will be running a Community Zone outside the Stadium featuring activities for children and face-painting from the Huddersfield Giants Cheerleading Pro Squad. Big G will also be around the perimeter of the Stadium to provide our younger supporters with an opportunity to get photos with our famous mascot.

Giants supporters wishing to get gameday ready will be able to purchase a range of merchandise at the Giants Gameday Store, located in a prime location in front of the Core Stand.

Tickets can be exchanged at the The Giants Ticket Office, which is open Monday to Friday, 9.00 pm to 4.00 pm.

All supporters planning on using their Christmas gift vouchers are asked to exchange them at the Ticket Office prior to gameday where possible to assist with the logistical planning and distribution of numbers ahead of the game and are reminded to provide the name and details of the recipient. The ticket office is open Monday - Friday, 9.00 pm to 4.00 pm.

Season Card holders who are redeeming their gift vouchers are requested to provide the name and details of the recipient.

How much are tickets?

Ticket prices are as follows:

How can I purchase a ticket?

Tickets can be purchased via Window 1 at the Giants Ticket Office, by visiting the Giants Online Ticketing Portal or by calling 01484 484159.

Castleford Tigers fans travelling to this Saturday's game are advised that those without a match ticket are encouraged to pay cash on the turnstiles, rather than visiting the Ticket Office. The Ticket Office does not have a chip and pin facility; therefore supporters will face shorter wait times by going straight to the Magic Rock Stand and paying cash on the turnstiles. While in the ground, travelling fans are advised also that the ground is a cashless venue for concession kiosks, and only card payments, Apple Pay & G-Pay are accepted.

What are the Covid-19 guidelines?

There is no requirement to show proof of vaccination or negative lateral flow test. We would however ask supporters to wear a mask in crowded areas and to follow existing government guidelines for their own and everybody else's safety. The stadium operates contactless payment only concession outlets for anyone wishing for refreshments within the ground.

Will the Players Bar be open?

The Player's Bar is open for Bar Pass holders only. The Huddersfield Giants Supporters Association Bar at the Legends Bar, located in the KAL Leisure Centre at the Stadium will be open from 1:00pm for Huddersfield Giants Supporters Association members only, and HGSA members can receive 50% off drinks between 1pm - 2:15pm. If you would like to join the HGSA, you can join on the day.

Can I still get a Season Card?

Season Cards are still available at a price of £180 for Over 30s and £90 for Under 30s. Under 5s entry is free. Pay per month options are still available, for more information click here.
