Huddersfield Giants rounded off the 2023 Pre-Season with a ruthless 64-12 win over Dewsbury Rams!

The Giants got off to a lightening quick start, as the returning forward Chris Hill smashed his way over with just minutes on the clock.

The scoring didn't stop there, as Kevin Naiqama slid over for a try on his first appearance, with another score coming soon after from Leroy Cudjoe, who strolled in at the corner. 

The experienced wingman then grabbed his second, as a looping pass from Esan Marsters sent Rams winger Lewis Carr into orbit and Leroy took advantage to score. 

Another experienced Giant, Chris McQueen then scored his first, as a short ball from the influencer Tui Lolohea, saw Chris crash over for his first of the afternoon. 

Dewsbury did grab a consolation in the first half, through former Cas Tiger Calum Turner, but this didn’t stop the Giant charge that was still going strong. 

Three more scores from Ian Watson's men before the break, through Theo Fages, Will Pryce and Chris McQueen saw the Huddersfield Giants 38-6 to the good at the break. 

Plenty of changes were the order of the second half, as the bench players were introduced and made an almost immediate impact, as Jake Bibby and Innes Senior both crossed the line within minutes of each other to extend the lead. 

Sam Hewitt then chased a kick in-behind, which looked like it was rolling dead but the never say die attitude from Sam saw him touch down and grab a try. 

With the game clock ticking down, and errors creeping into the game, Huddersfield gained some composure among knock-ons and scored again through some good work from Tui Lolohea, who was a mainstay in the team throughout the afternoon as he sent Innes Senior in for another score. 

With seconds to go before the final hooter, Jake Bibby also grabbed his second as he slid in at the corner, with Dewsbury scoring a consolation with the last kick of the game as Collins latched onto a dribble kick through the Giants defence.

Ian Watson's Giants rounded off pre-season with a comprehensive win over Betfred League 1 side Dewsbury Rams, with the game ending 64-12, as we crossed for 13 tries in what was a routine warm-up game.
