Huddersfield Giants can confirm the players who will be leaving the club upon the conclusion of the 2024 season.
Sebastine Ikahihifo, Adam Milner, Chris Hill, Esan Marsters, Kevin Naiqama and Olly Russell will all depart the club upon the conclusion of the 2024 season.
All players leave the club with the very best wishes of everyone connected to the Huddersfield Giants, and we wish them the very best in their future careers.
Sebastine Ikahihifo
One of our longest serving players, Seb joined the club midway through 2016 and instantly came a huge fans favourite, making his debut in the Magic Weekend win over St Helens.
Since then, Sebby has gone onto make 138 appearances for Huddersfield, making this town a home for himself and his family, scoring five tries.
A consistent performer throughout his time here, Seb continued to impress the supporters and never gave less then 100% every time he would step onto the field, mostly as an impact interchange substitute.
No words can do justice to a man who has served the Huddersfield Giants for many years with commitment and pride in the shirt, Sebby leaves with the very best wishes of everyone at the club and is always welcome back at the John Smith's Stadium.
Adam Milner
'Adz' Milner joined the club midway through 2023 from Castleford Tigers where he had spent his whole professional career at, he scored his first try for the Giants away at Leigh Leopards in Round 1.
Comfortable at Hooker or Loose Forward, Adam's utility value has been extremely useful to our squad, excelling in a number of games during both seasons which has seen us pick up two points.
We wish Adz the very best for the future.
Chris Hill
Chill joined the Huddersfield Giants in the off-season of 2021, making his first appearances under Ian Watson in 2022 and guided the club to a Challenge Cup Final and a top 3 finish in his first season, showing the true class he possesses.
A consistent performer for the club, and continuing to make the England team during his time here shows that Chris is held in the international game and the Giants.
Only one try to his name during his time at the Giants, but numerous consistent performances has seen the England international become a fans favourite during his time at the club.
Chris departs the club after three seasons, and the very best wishes of everyone connected with the Huddersfield Giants.
Kevin Naiqama
A born winner, Kev joined the club ahead of the 2023 season, when a professional rugby league deal looked unlikely, but has stayed consistent and was our second highest try scorer in 2023 with 14.
Kevin continued his form into 2024, in what has been a disappointing season but has still crossed for numerous tries throughout the season and provided excellent value to the squad in what has been a difficult campaign, often putting his body on the line for the team.
Esan Marsters
Esan joined the club ahead of the 2023 season and took a while to get going, but when he got going there was some player there, numerous offloads which saw him top the charts in early 2023 and crashing over for tries during his two year stay at the club.
He kickstarted our comeback win vs Leeds Rhinos as he burst through Momirovski to claw us back into the game, as we went on to claim two points in dramatic fashion.
Marsters will remain in Super League next year with Salford Red Devils and leaves with the best wishes of everyone at the club.
Olly Russell
A fans favourite, one of our own coming through the Giants pathway system, Oliver has gone on to be one of our most consistent performers whenever called upon and enjoyed an outstanding season in 2022, forming a deadly partnership with Theo Fages.
Giving no less than 100% every game, Russell has written his name in Giants and the fans' hearts forever and is always welcome back at the John Smith's Stadium after playing over 50 games for the Giants in his spell, since his debut vs Widnes Vikings back in 2018.
Oliver Russell has taken up a contract with Wakefield Trinity for 2025.
