BETFRED SUPER LEAGUE 2025 FIXTURES ANNOUNCED

We can now reveal our full 2025 fixtures, with a much more blended fixture list which incorporates Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sundays in all our games home and away.

As previously revealed, we open our account at the John Smith's Stadium against Warrington Wolves, last season's play off semi-finalists and coached by Sam Burgess, brother of Giant Thomas Burgess.

Optimism is high among staff, players and supporters alike as we mark a new era under club legend and Head Coach Luke Robinson, as he assembles his 2025 squad currently, the 2025 campaign will be his first full season as a professional Head Coach.

With captures such as Thomas Burgess, Jacob Gagai and Liam Sutcliffe to add to young talent like Harry Rushton and Sam Halsall, who will both be looking to excel on consistent performances in 2024.

We then travel to Leigh Leopards in a repeat of our opening away game of 2024 where we came away with the two points previously, Luke Robinson looking for the same result in 2025.

The Giants face local rivals Leeds Rhinos for the first time at AMT Headingley on Friday 18th April, after a thrilling comeback win last season, we will be looking to continue our good form there.

Then we make our return to Newcastle in the earlier time of May, as we face Hull FC looking to continue or League best magic record.

Giants fans will recall our memorable 55-2 victory over the Black and Whites, the last time we faced Hull FC at Magic.

Then the fixture that everyone looks forward to, we have been allocated Catalans Away in summer time again with our supporters being able to enjoy the trip away once again in the summer heat, on Saturday 28th June.

We then close out the season with two home games, before finishing where we started again at The Leopards Den, before that however we'll return to the rivalry against Leeds Rhinos and then in our final home game vs Salford Red Devils.

All fixtures are subject to change, with our fixture against Wigan Warriors on Saturday 14th June to be played away from the John Smith's Stadium.

Managing Director Richard Thewlis commented on the 2025 fixtures.

"We have, as requested, a more balanced fixture list this year for which we thank the relevant authorities. Given that every game is televised again and the strategy is to have far fewer clashes of kick off times every club will have their fair share of Thursday, Friday, Saturdays and Sundays with varying KO times.

"Given our stadium re-seeding issues and those teams who share facilities like we do alongside more and more clubs entering the concert market the fixtures are now incredibly difficult to put together and our trade-off if you like for the fixtures being more balanced is that we will be looking to move the Wigan home game in June away from the John Smiths to an alternative venue as we have in the past when we had the huge pitch renovation project. We will firm up detail for that in the New Year.

"Our first competitive game will be an away tie in the Betfred Challenge Cup with the draw being in January and then we hit the opening round of Betfred Super league versus the Wolves on a Sunday afternoon which for many remains a traditional Rugby league day."
