PATHWAY DOCTOR OPPORTUNITY
An exciting opportunity has opened up at the Huddersfield Giants, as we are searching for a pathway doctor.
We are looking to recruit a dynamic and enthusiastic doctor to support the pathway teams at Huddersfield Giants. This includes Scholars (under 16), Academy (under 18) and Reserves.
The successful candidate will be joining Huddersfield Giants at an exciting time as we expand our medical department to support widening participation in Rugby League and raising medical standards.
Candidates must be committed, flexible and have a strong interest in sport with a minimum of 24 months post graduate experience, preferably in an acute setting. It is desirable to have some experience in Rugby League, a qualification in Sport and Exercise Medicine or pitch side trauma management.
Extremely high standards of communication, organisation and teamwork are expected and essential to this role and candidates should be able to demonstrate this consistently.
It is essential that the successful candidate can work independently and has appropriate indemnity to enable them to cover professional sport at pitch side. If no pitch side qualification has been attained, the club will fund the Immediate Medical Management on Field of Play (IMMOFP) course.
The salary for this role is divided between clinical and non-clinical work (as defined by GMC) and an added sum as a retainer fee.
