EARLEY EARNS SCHOLARSHIP DEAL

Young player Lucas Earley has completed a 6 week trail and earned a scholarship contract for 2025 at the Huddersfield Giants.

Lucas is a 15 years old, a dynamic hooker. He has been nurtured at Sharlston Rovers. A lot of credit needs to go the community club, coaching staff and his parents that have created an environment for him to progress to the level he is at today.

Lucas in his final year of scholarship, this scholarship contract has come at the right time as he has clear ambitions to progress into our Academy. Academy Head Coach Steve Fox has been monitoring his development for a while and has been a key cog in why Lucas has been given an opportunity to trial at the club.

Scholarship Head Coach Jonny Wainhouse commented "All the Scholarship staff are really pleased with how well Lucas has settled in. This is an opportunity that Lucas has earned and deserves; we are pleased he has come on board. 

We have all recognised his potential, his distribution off the floor is sharp, his defence has been noticed, and we are looking forward to developing his attacking game and game management this season".
