A message to the Fans from Andy Kelly...

Ahead of this Saturday's game vs Catalans Dragons, Director of Rugby Andy Kelly has issued the following message to all Giants Supporters.
Hi Giants fans,
First of all, I would like to extend my thanks for your continued support in what has been a difficult year for the club. As I said in my message earlier in the year,
This would be a difficult and tough season where some performances would fall below expectations.
When players have returned to bolster Luke Robinson’s squad, and given him more selection options, performances have seen an upturn and in recent weeks shown more consistency, particularly getting the wins on the road at Castleford, Hull FC and Warrington.
Work, as you know, is now well underway at Laund Hill, and I for one am really excited for the development of our new base and training facility. It’s building blocks such as this one that Ken Davy is putting into place that can only lead to a bright future for the club.
Recruitment and retention is well underway from my point of view, and announcements through the Giants’ channels will be made on these in due course.
Attention now turns to this Saturday and the visit of the Catalans Dragons. We’re still looking for that elusive first home win of the campaign, and the club have been brilliant in putting on the ticket offer for fans to get behind the boys and I certainly hope uptake on this is high.
The lads are back from a break rejuvenated, and looking to finish the season in style and get some more wins on the board.
Your support as always is vital, and I sincerely hope that you can get down on Saturday in your numbers to cheer the team on.
Once again, I’d like to thank you for your continued support, it doesn’t go unnoticed by anyone involved in the club.
Andy Kelly, Director of Rugby
