GREEN GIANT SIGNS NEW CONTRACT

Huddersfield Giants are delighted to announce that Joe Greenwood has signed a new two-year deal with the club.

Joining the club in 2021 and going on to make 96 appearances for the club, Greeny has been an integral part of the side in previous seasons and more so in 2025, where he has found a home in the back row as a powerful back, crashing onto short balls as he looks to cause havoc close to the oppositions line.

He was included in the most recent Super League TOTW after his impressive display vs Hull FC, scoring a try and solid in defence, this is a key extension going into 2026.

On signing the deal, Joe said, "I'm glad I've got another two years here, I'm settled really well. I've been here a few years now so I'm glad it's over the line and now I can concentrate on the back end of this year now."

"My intentions were always to stay here and I've had a good sit down with Robbo and Andy Kelly and got the deal done."

Andy Kelly commented on keeping Greeny around the club for two more years.

"This is a key piece of business for us, we wanted to keep Joe after the performances he's put in this year, he's really made that back-row spot his own and we're looking forward to him continuing this for the coming seasons."
