DOMINANT GIANTS TAKE TWO POINTS

Huddersfield Giants put on a dominant display to defeat Catalans Dragons 18-6 at the Accu Stadium.
Luke Robinson was handed a blow during the week, with Tui Lolohea and Adam Swift both ruled out for the remaining games of the season, with the Tongan in great form.
In came Kieran Rush and Sam Halsall, with Oliver Wilson returning to the fold for this clash vs Catalans Dragons.
Both sides went set for set early on, finding their feet and feeling each other out with neither side really testing the opposition defence.
Then came the opening try, as George Flanagan did what he does so well and causes the left hand side of the Catalans defence issues, he spotted a gap to race home and open the scoring.
6-0, and the Giants were then awarded a penalty, George uncharacteristically missed but from the resulting drop out, Matty English was taken high and Sironen was sent to the sin bin.
With minutes remaining in the half, Catalans looked to spread the play wide in their own half, but a wild pass fell straight into the hands of Jacob Gagai who raced away to double our lead on the hooter, 12-0.
The second half started much the same, with both sides testing each other out, there was a brief moment two minutes in, as Catalans thought they had scored, only to be denied by the video referee who spotted a knock-on in the build up.
Joel Tomkins' side would get their rewards for the efforts, however after a superb knock down pass from Flanagan that stopped a certain try, on the resulting set, Keary kicked to the corner and Makinson patted the ball back for Sironen to cross.
From the kick-off, George King forced a knock on, and as we played out the set, Leroy Cudjoe was taken late in front of the posts and Flanagan obliged duly to add another two points, 14-6.
George was involved again in the winner, as a familiar move proved dividends again for Huddersfield, a reverse pass from the impressive Kieran Rush sent Flanagan racing home and he touched down to seal a valuable two points.
We move level on points with Castleford and two points behind Catalans after a hard fought 18-6 win.
