JAGGER NEXT TO SIGN UP

Promising winger Lewis Jagger has become the next Academy product to sign a full-time two year contract with the club, effective immediately.

The young back, who completed his first Academy year last season, was rewarded for his hard-work with a call-up to the first team for our final outing of 2025 vs Leigh Leopards, where he scored on debut.

Jagger he was outstanding on that evening, and will now look to continue his development with a view to breaking into the first team.

Lewis has commented on signing a deal with the club, insisting he is looking forward to the challenge.

"I'm absolutely buzzing, it's a dream come true for me and to finally have the contract signed, it's a huge relief and now i can focus on working hard and building myself up to break into the first team in the future.

"I'm extremely grateful for the opportunity, after being injured in the first year of the scholarship, the club stood by me and it taught me resilience, very thankful for Steve for standing by me and now i'm in this position."

Head Coach Luke Robinson discussed the process of awarding Jagger with a first team contract.

"He's a local lad and thats who we want to be investing in at this club, a young english outside back, we put him in without any training sessions last year and look at how he performed.

"After he's completed his a-levels we want him around the first team as much as possible, he can beat a man and when he gets older and bulks up he'll be a massive threat to other teams.

"Lewis is a comfortable centre of full-back, and we see his talent and want him around the first team so he is able to learn and be guided from one of this clubs' great outside backs in Leroy."
