FEMALE REFEREE TO MAKE HISTORY THIS WEEKEND

Tara Jones MBE will be the first female referee in Super League as she takes charge of the Giants game away at Wigan Warriors.

Jones took charge of her first game in the Championship last year, and has been ever-present on the touchline in the Super League for a number of years.

History will be made on Saturday, when for the first time, a female referee will be in the middle for a Men's Super League Fixture.

The Giants would like to offer our congratulations to Tara and wish her the very best on the day at The Brick Community Stadium. It is an occasion that the club are really pleased to be a part of and look forward to seeing Tara in action come kick off.
