AN EASTER MESSAGE FROM OUR CLUB CHAPLAIN

Club Chaplain Colin Campbell would like to wish you all a Happy Easter and has a message for all the Giants fans out there.

Dear friends, supporters, and all faithful Giants fans,

I am reminded that this Easter time of year is about more than fixtures, results and tables—it is about hope, renewal, and the promise of new life.  Easter speaks into the heart of every journey, whether on the pitch or far beyond it.

In these days, as humanity looks again toward the stars through the Artemis II mission, we are struck by both the wonder and the risk of space travel. To venture into the unknown requires courage, trust, and resilience. There are perils in the vastness of space, yet also incredible beauty and possibility. In many ways, that journey mirrors our own lives—full of uncertainty, challenge, and moments where we must hold on to hope even when the path ahead is unclear.

The Easter story speaks powerfully into this.  Jesus walked a path that led through suffering and darkness, yet it did not end there. Through His resurrection, we are shown that even in the face of the greatest trial, life and victory have the final word.  The empty tomb is God’s declaration that hope is never lost, that light overcomes darkness and that new beginnings are always possible.

As a rugby league community, we know something about perseverance.  We know the knocks, the setbacks, the hard-fought battles.  But we also know the joy of rising again, of standing together, and of pressing forward with belief.  Just as those astronauts trust one another on their mission, so too are we called to support, encourage, and lift each other - on and off the field.

This Easter, may you find strength in the knowledge that no challenge is too great, no season too difficult, and no moment beyond redemption or rescue. Whether you are celebrating victory or facing struggle, the message of Easter is for you: hope lives, and it carries us forward.

May you and your loved ones know peace, courage, and renewed joy.

And as we look ahead—to the next game, the next challenge, the next horizon—may we do so with hearts full of hope, knowing that we never journey alone.

Happy Easter to you all.

With every blessing,
Colin Campbell  (Chappers)
Club Chaplain
