GIANTS SIGN HAYWARD

Huddersfield Giants Women sign former England and Great Britain Union 7s Eloise Hayward!

Hayward brings a wealth of experience to the Giants, a Rugby 7's England International former Leeds Rhino centre, she will join up with Nathan Graham's team this week.

After crossing for 8 tries in 17 appearances and 28 goals, Eloise comes back into the game of Rugby League with the Giants as we take on York Knights this weekend in the Challenge Cup 1/4 finals at the LNER Community Stadium.

Eloise commented on joining the Giants.

“Joining Huddersfield Giants feels like an exciting new chapter for me, both on and off the field. Over the last period, my relationship with rugby hasn’t always been straightforward and I think I lost a bit of the love for it along the way, but being around this environment, the people, and the way the club operates has already started to bring that feeling back.

"It’s reminded me why I started playing in the first place because I genuinely enjoy it, not just because I’m chasing something. I was drawn to the club’s ambition, professionalism, and the environment they’re building, it’s a place that challenges you to grow, while also supporting you to be your best. I’m really looking forward to being part of a team that values hard work, connection and high standards.

"The opportunity to learn from the players and staff around me, compete at a high level and contribute to something bigger than myself is something I’m genuinely excited about. I can’t wait to get started, embrace the challenges ahead and see how far we can go together this season”.

Nathan Graham’s also discussed why he brought Eloise on-board.

“It's great to welcome Eloise into the squad. She was here a few years ago and showed some really good quality and skill. She's a good athlete and due to her boxing background has a real determination to succeed. She will be a real positive for the rest of the year and brings competition for places in numerous positions”.
