Match Report - Hull FC

The Giants took an early lead through the returning Oliver Russell, as he took advantage of a great offload at the line from Joe Greenwood with our first forray into the FC half, just managing to ground the ball under pressure.

Hull FC then hit back, through some slack defence in the centre of the park, as Logan Moy supported a break and went underneath the posts, Sezer levelling the scores.

After both sides went set for set, with some good defence from Andy Last's side keeping the Giants out, the home side would go down the other end and score through Jake Arthur, it was their turn for an offload leading to a score.

12-6 the scores stood at the break, with Jim Lenihan's side well in the contest.

After the break, Huddersfield had most of the early possession, testing the Giants line, but with FC scoring through Ethan O'Neill, on loan from Leeds Rhinos along with Mata'utia, it took the game away from us.

Our confidence dropped in a game we had been largely in for the most part, as Hull FC started to run riot.

Another try made it 24-6 through Amir Bourough as he scurried over from dummy-half, to extend the home sides lead.

More tries came from Harvey Barron and a second from O'Neill, to push the score further out, with the Giants struggling to hold on in the last 15 minutes of the game.

Connor Wrench did grab a consolation for the Giants, with some neat footwork at the line, but the damage was already done and we lost out 36-12.
