Giants Further Improve IMG Grade

The IMG grading system remains in place for the 2027 Betfred Super League season and the club are delighted to announce the implementation of a new LED system which will further boost the club's overall grading score in that particular area, with the existing LED boarding being upgraded for a new state of the art replacement. 

The new P8 resolution LED perimeter system was installed this week, designed to maximise visibility to television and in-stadium attendances whilst facilitating dynamic in-match sponsorship and animated advertising. The alteration means the stadium's system now fits IMG's criteria, boosting the Giants' score in this facet.

Giants Managing Director Richard Thewlis said: "The grading system has been changed in 2027 which will help some clubs and hinder others. We are in the help category which of course is positive news and small improvements such as the LEDS have a profound influence at the end of the year when the marks are calculated. Early forecasting shows our mark to increase in every category bar that of community where we hit the maximum mark anyway, showing that the work off the field remains of a very high standard and that must remain the case of course. 

"I am sure everyone has seen the improvements that Jim Lenihan has implemented on the playing side, the benefits of which I am sure we will see during the remainder of the year and which will also help our grading score.
