SANT PROMOTED TO WOMENS FIRST TEAM

Huddersfield Giants are delighted to announce that Tegan Sant has been promoted to the Women's First Team from the U19's.

Tegan, who has been consistently impressing and has made numerous first team appearances this season, has now formally made the permanent move to the First Team, joining up with Nathan Graham's squad.

Half-back by trade, and also a goal kicker, her youthful talent has proved vital for the team, defeating Barrow recently in a comeback win.

She follows in the footsteps of fellow former U19's player Leah Mae Beckett.

Head Coach Nathan Graham discussed promoting Tegan into the first team.

Tegan's someone who has shown immense potential in the Under 19s. When she has stepped up this year to the 1st Team she has handled herself really well and fitted in perfectly. She shows great composure, game smarts and skill. Whilst there's still some learning to do, I'm really excited to have her in the group, she's a quality addition.

Tegan also discussed the promotion.

I’m very excited to have signed for the first team from the under 19s. It’s a great way to develop as a young player and it shows the success of the Giants under 19s pathways into super league. The pathway provides younger players with an opportunity to become successful, developing their game sense/skills. For me this is a huge step in my career and progression to make it as a top athlete within the game.
