As much as 2016 proved to be a breakthrough one for Oliver Roberts after he not only made his Giants debut but went onto make 30 appearances as he became a firm fixture in the side, 2017 cemented his name into a key player for Rick Stone's side.
In the Super League off-season between 2016 and 2017, the 23-year-old was also a part of Ireland’s World Cup Qualifiers squad, where he scored three tries in two games to help Ireland secure qualification for the 2017 World Cup where he was selected for the international tournament.
Roberts has continued his role as a key player in the second row in the Claret and Gold and scored a four tries in 2018.
He has also signed a contract extension with the Giants which will see him remain at the club until 2019.
